Sharad Mittal, Founder and CEO

Having realized very early on the immense gap between research and publication potential among non-English-speaking authors, Sharad founded Enago in 2005 with a focus of providing high-quality research communication services to these authors.

Over the years, Sharad has fostered Enago’s contribution to the research publishing industry by partnering with numerous publishers and by helping millions of researchers achieve publication success. He has taken Enago to a unique position where the company can now offer complete support to researchers worldwide through its editorial, publication support, translation, medical communication, and AI-enabled services. Sharad’s vision is to propagate the dissemination of global scientific research, by helping researchers break through the bounds of language and geography.

Dr. Anupama Kapadia, General Manager

Dr Anupama Kapadia is a licensed specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Orthopedics) by qualification and a scholarly publishing professional by vocation. She has been working in the publications industry for 16+ years and specializes in medical editing and publications. She has published several articles, reports, and posters in the fields of science editing and publishing as well as conducted several workshops and webinars centering on best practices in scholarly communication, including recent ones on the role of AI in scholarly publishing. She is an active member of associations such as COPE, ISMTE, ISMPP, and EASE, which focus on increasing professional networking within the academic publishing community and also help establish best practices among authors, publishers, and journals.

Aruna Meka PhD, Principal Scientific Writer - Enago Life Sciences

Aruna Meka has over 10 years’ experience in various roles in Medical Communications as a Senior Scientific Writer, Expert Scientific Writer, and as a Principal Scientific Writer. She holds a post-graduation in Human Genetics and a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University and post-doctoral experience in bio-statistical analysis at Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, India.

She brings in rich writing experience in publications, medical education and patient-facing materials, scientific symposia, and medical booth content for the Transplant, Hepatology, Dermatology, and Rheumatology, Oncology and other therapeutic areas. She holds multiple publications and awards to her credit.

As a Principal Scientific Writer at Enago Life Sciences, Aruna plays a pivotal role in developing and reviewing medical communications deliverables for our global clients.

Raghuraj Puthige PhD, Function Head

Raghuraj Puthige, Ph.D. is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and agency. Raghuraj possesses an impressive track record in medical writing, editing, publications, and regulatory documents in diverse therapeutic areas.

As a visionary leader, Raghuraj has successfully executed comprehensive medical communications plans across global, US, EMEA, APAC, and regional settings., earning recognition for establishing high-performing scientific writing teams. As a versatile leader, he has gained extensive experience in people management, project management, and technical writing. He possesses a deep understanding of product and market dynamics, enabling him to provide strategic insights and drive successful outcomes. His proficiency in client management, vendor management, budgeting, and risk mitigation has solidified his position as a trusted partner in the industry.

Passionate about personal development, Raghuraj enjoys coaching and conducting workshops on communication skills, fostering cross-collaboration, and sharing best practices. Outside the professional sphere, he finds inspiration in yoga, natural health, travel, culture, photography, and music.

Shilpa Mittal, Business Head, Localization Services

Shilpa currently heads Ulatus, the translation division, at Crimson. She is known for her keen sense of identifying new opportunities and combining innovation with strategic ability to establish Ulatus as the preferred localization partner for people and businesses worldwide. A qualified Chartered Accountant, she has previously served as the Assistant Vice President for HSBC Treasury. Shilpa is a recipient of the ‘Best Woman Entrepreneur Award 2017’ by Golden Bridge, San Francisco.

Keith Veitch PhD, Consultant Adviser

After more than 15 years of academic research, with a degree in biochemistry and PhD in gastroenterology, Keith joined pharmaceutical industry. Keith has now over 20 years of experience in the medical communications field, managing publication and data dissemination functions in leading companies in the vaccines industry. Notably as Head of Publication groups at GSK, Sanofi Pasteur, Novartis, and Takeda Vaccines he has been responsible for the creation and management of teams of Publication Managers and Writers based in different global sites in Europe, the United States and India. He has expertise in global strategic publication planning and delivery not only in vaccines but across a wide range of therapy areas.

As an ex-president of EMWA and co-author of the industry guidelines on publication practices, GPP3 Keith brings his rich medical communications experience as a consultant to Enago - LifeSciences.

Tony O’Rourke, Vice President, Global Partnerships

Tony O'Rourke has more than 30 years of experience in the scientific, technical and medical (STM) publishing/scholarly communication sector. He graduated from one of Germany’s leading business schools, Fachhochschule Reutlingen and Middlesex University. Since graduating, he has established himself in professional publishing, having held senior commercial roles at IOP Publishing and Royal College of Nursing (RCNi). Most recently, Tony was Author Services Director for The Charlesworth Group. Tony now rejoins Enago as Vice President, Partnerships where he is responsible for driving business relationships with publishers, professional societies and with higher education organizations, making high-quality author services and knowledge/education services easily accessible for researchers and authors. Tony has served on the Council and Board of ALPSP (Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers), on the Serial Publishers Executive of the Publishers Association (UK), as well as on specialist committees of leading publisher trade associations.

Michael J. Asquith - Senior Vice President - Global Sales

Michael has established himself as a thought-leader in the Localization industry by submerging himself in trans-global, cross-cultural work environments for over a decade. Michael serves Ulatus and their clients as a positive “change agent” having architected sophisticated and impactful “Global Transformation Programs” for some of the most innovative multinationals in the world including but not limited to those in Medical and Biotech.

Kuntan Dhanoya, Vice President, Business Development

Kuntan Dhanoya is Vice President of Business Development at Enago, a language solutions company providing English language editing and translation services to the global scientific community and corporations worldwide. In a span of 9 years, Kuntan has held different roles in the organization starting as an academic editor, trainer, and quality manager, and currently managing strategic business growth of publishing and translation services in North America. She holds a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Mumbai University, India. As a way of giving back to the publishing community, Kuntan is an active volunteer on different committees for several professional societies including CSE (Membership Committee member), SSP, and ISMTE.

Beverly Haley, Vice President, Scientific Strategy

Beverly brings over 25 years of experience in the medical communications field to Crimson. She has a storied legacy of designing strategic, innovative, and far-reaching medical communications plans that include publications, to help prepare the market for successful product launches and expansions.

Beverly has an extensive experience in medical communications, both in global, emerging markets and domestic markets in the US, UK, and EU. She has worked on a multitude of medical communications projects, including promotional materials, content for medical professionals, market research and access, digital marketing and advertising, collaboration with patients, and publications, among others. Beverly’s background as a registered nurse gives her a unique clinical perspective on a wide range of medical fields, including respiratory, allergy, immunology, oncology, immuno-oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, infectious disease, vaccines, rare diseases, women's health and osteoporosis, joint disease, CNS, including Alzheimer's, and diagnostic imaging with contrast media.

As VP, Scientific Strategy, Beverly will partner with biopharmaceutical/devices teams to establish new relationships and strengthen relationships with key accounts through customized strategies and medical communication projects.

Paul Cook, VP - Business Development

Paul has an established history of implementing strategic and performance-driven business development plans to generate revenue growth of companies. Since 2005, he has built a strong industry network and profitable strategic alliances with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the Life Sciences industry.

Paul is known to be a creative, forward thinking, and action-oriented person. His experience goes beyond business development to a thorough understanding of marketing strategy and tactics, including key aspects of digital marketing, medical education, scientific communications design and distribution, strategic planning, and SaaS in the Biotech and Life Sciences industries.

His most recent assignment with RxPx/Curatio, an innovative and patient-centric platform for physicians who help patients manage their therapies and treatments, provide patients with peer-to-peer support and improved on-boarding experience for medications.

He is passionate about working on projects that employ his commitment to make a positive impact on peoples' lives.

Gordon Muir-Jones, President - Enago Life Sciences

For over 35 years, Gordon has created a significant impact in the medical communications domain through his extensive insights on global pharmaceutical marketing and his experience of leading key strategic accounts. Prior to joining Enago Life Sciences, Gordon successfully established a presence for Oxford Pharma Genesis and Porterhouse Medical in the United States.

Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in developing and overseeing a number of key medical communication initiatives, incorporating components including education, publication, KOL engagement, and advocacy. He has frequently been invited to serve as an agency representative on the client's global brand team, providing key insights for strategic campaigns and projects.

Gordon specializes in publication planning, and is actively involved in both ISMPP (as a Charter Member and long-time Committee and faculty member) and previous faculty member at TIPPA.

He is also highly regarded as a leader who leads his team by example having an exceptional track record of developing new business and long-term client retention.

Kuljeet Sohanpal, Vice President, Strategic Alliances

Kuljeet has over 15 years’ commercial experience in the field of medical communications and publishing industry. He holds a BSc. (Hons) Pharmacology degree and is a proven Business Director.

Kuljeet has established industry relationships with key stakeholders at global and local biopharmaceutical companies driving new business development and upholding client satisfaction. Kuljeet brings in rich industry, therapy area experience that enhance our offering and play an important role in supporting our clients to achieve greater success.

As VP-Strategic Alliances he heads the Enago Life Sciences’ European medical communications function. He primarily leads the development of new relationships, tailored medical communications and account management activities.
